Gastronomy in Pas de la Casa
Andorra, in addition to its excellent ski resorts such the ski resort of Grandvalira and the ski resort of Pas de la Casa, has many more attractions. One of these attractions is the lovely cuisine.
The traditional Andorran house in the mountain is called "borda". In ancient times these bordas were only places to be inhabited by livestock and to store cereal grains. Now now no longer fulfill this function and have been restored and furnished to accommodate typical restaurants of Andorra. There are about 25 bordas and all the food is excellent as all this is based on high quality raw material . People visiting Andorra are doing a tour of all of them and really go overboard very satisfechos.Cada has its own personality but almost all have in common some dishes such as homemade sausages , beans with squid and steak Andorra. These pictures and always cooked with vegetables and served with real good excellent wines. Also cakes, artisanal always , is well known for being always desserts made fresh with natural substances and following very traditional prescriptions .
In Andorra la Vella which is 33 km from the ski resort of Pas de la Casa , there are some very famous as " the Borda Pairal 1630 " exquisite specialties such as snails and grilled meat among others. So is the " Borda Estevet " whose specialty most are trinchados and meat slab.
Other huts worth mentioning are those found around the Massana as Bellsolà Family overboard with its exquisite cream and onion overboard " Rauber " t that offers the admired specialty cheese salads or cod and Andorran cod among other delicious dishes and desserts such as figs with cream.
In the village of Ordino is obligatory stop along the " Cal Moixó " to taste a shoulder of lamb and a pudding of nougat.
